Interactive Floor for Learning

An award winning interactive floor for a differentiated learning experience

November 30th, 2017: Educators today find it tough to match the imagination of kids, especially in the Pre-K segment, as creating new learning games and exercises is not easy and a very time consuming task. Identifying the need, Eupheus Learning, an EdTech startup in the education and training space is proud to bring a path-breaking, highly valuable supplement to classroom teaching, Step and Learn, powered by Wizefloor, an award winning interactive floor from Denmark. The solution has been developed by Aarhus University and the Alexandra Institute in Denmark.

With focus on kids from 3 to 12 years and also with special needs, Step and Learn promotes collective and differentiated learning styles and needs through play and physical activity.

Speaking about the association, Kaspar Rosengreen, Principal Software Architect, Alexandra Instituttet A/S and Product Manager, Wizefloor, said, “We at The Alexandra Institute A/S use breakthrough tracking technology, which is supported by scientific research. Based on almost nine years of research and development, this interactive product stimulates the sensory system by staging a playful atmosphere for movement, and it improves collaboration and teamwork among children from a young age. Our objectives resonate with those of Euphues Learning as we also believe in creating stimulating learning experiences for children through differentiated solutions.”

With Step and Learn, it is possible for teachers to create learning games and experiences customized to the needs of their individual school.  The games are projected onto the floor from a projector mounted to the ceiling and the kids use their hands and feet to interact with the floor ( via a motion sensor), which allows them to solve the games. Step and Learn allows multiple children to play simultaneously, encouraging collaboration from an early stage.

Sarvesh Shrivastava, Managing Director and Co-founder, Eupheus Learning said, “Our vision is to offer pedagogically differentiated technology driven solutions to the Pre-K to 12 segment. Step and Learn is a proud recipient of a Red Dot Design Award as “Best of the Best in Education” under the name Wisdom Well. It offers the key to the best kinaesthetic mode of learning for kids of the age group of 3-12 years, as it improves their learning by activating the gross motor functions.”

Award-winning coding solution without screens for children aged 3 and up

New Delhi, India and London, UK (November 2, 2017) – Coding is fast becoming the global language of communication, connecting over 2 billion people across the globe who use the internet. Not only this, coding is now being touted  as an invaluable job skill for better career prospects. But there are numerous questions that surround the subject of coding. Therefore, Eupheus Learning, an EdTech startup in the Education and Training space, brings Cubetto to India to answer these questions. Cubetto is the first programming toy used by Montessori educators worldwide. It is designed and produced by Primo Toys, an award-winning startup that leverages technology to introduce 21st-century skills like coding, in early years without the use of screens.

Meet Cubetto
Cubetto – Coding without screen for kids

The most crowdfunded educational technology invention in Kickstarter’s history, Cubetto is powered by a hands-on programming language designed specifically for children. It teaches the basics of computer programming and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics)skills. The Cubetto Playset consists of a friendly robot made of hard-wearing wood, a physical programming board, and a set of colorful coding blocks that make up a programming language you can touch. This is based on research  that confirms that children learn best through hands-on play.

Filippo Yacob, CEO, and founder of Primo Toys said: “Cubetto encourages imagination and exploration into the world of programming. It provides gender-neutral play that boosts a child’s creativity, critical thinking, spatial awareness and communication skills. Like us, the Eupheus Learning team is also on a mission to encourage learning in kids through a differentiated approach and technology-driven tools. With their valuable experience in the Pre-K to 12 space, I feel we have just the right partnership we should be having in the Indian subcontinent.”

Sarvesh Shrivastava, Managing Director and Co-founder, Eupheus Learning said, “India is home to over 50 million kids aged 3 and up, the target age for Primo Toys products. Since the Cubetto Playset doesn’t use a written language, screens, or Wi-Fi to function, it creates a fun learning environment by helping girls and boys develop and realize their full creative potential by combining movement, touch and sound. Moreover, it is accessible in environments where connectivity and additional technology is either inaccessible or difficult to get. Cubetto is a truly revolutionary resource for Indian classrooms and homes.”
