Eupheus Learning Brings Global English Assessment Standards to Indian Schools

Lack of global assessment for learners can be an impediment to a young nation like India, where students are assessed on a national level only in grades 10 and 12. Understanding the need, Eupheus Learning, a Delhi-based EdTech start-up, in August announced a strategic collaboration with ETS, the world’s largest non-profit educational measurement organization, to bring the TOEFL Primary and TOEFL Junior tests to India

Eupheus Learning  also has a road map to establish 200+ test centres in the country to facilitate the administration of the TOEFL Primary and TOEFL Junior tests.

For young students, to measure current English skills and provide a foundation for future success. Designed to assess the general English-language proficiency of young students ages 8+ in reading, listening and speaking, the TOEFL Primary tests provide support for teaching and learning with information about your students’ abilities in relation to international standards.

Benefits of the TOEFL Primary tests include:
• Recommendations about next steps that students can take to improve their English-language abilities
• Scores that are mapped to CEFR levels, so you will know about your students’ abilities in relation to international benchmarks
• Reading scores that are linked to Lexile® match students’ English-reading abilities

For middle school to early high school level English-language programs. The TOEFL Junior tests provide an accurate and reliable measure of your students’ academic and social English
skills and abilities in a school setting.

Benefits of the TOEFL Junior tests include:
• Measuring a range of skills to better meet the expectations of English-language programs worldwide
• Accurate scoring and convenient administrations
• Meaningful score reports and performance feedback to tailor English instruction and guide conversations with parents
• Mapping student achievement to CEFR levels for international benchmarking
• Advising students on appropriate book selections based on Lexile® measures to improve English-reading proficiency
